What value does tracking on Twitter offer me?
There are currently 9 million 16 million 28 million 58 million 107 million 125 million registered Twitter users. Without knowing what’s being said about your brand, your company or what you’re concerned about, you won’t know how to respond. TweetReports gives you the opportunity to know what’s being said about what you’re interested in, and by whom. GI Joe was right: Knowing is half the battle. We’ll get you the intel — you choose how to respond.
Why should I use TweetReports to monitor what’s being talked about on Twitter?
Twitter is dynamic social network where messages are instantaneous and thought driven. People tend to tweet what they think, what they like, what they’re using, what they’re reading, what they don’t like and what they’re worried about–without filtering. Using TweetReports essentially allows you to become a “fly on the wall”– giving you the opportunity to know what people are talking about right now. And knowing that information, on a large scale, gives you a great competitive advantage.
What kind of businesses benefit from this service?
The select few we’ve invited to be part of our original beta testing group came from a wide variety of places around the country. We have three international clients, we work with two U.S. Senate campaigns, a Midwestern college, a recruiting firm, an eye doctor, a car dealership, and so on. Anybody who has an interest in monitoring a topic or using it as an alternative to search.twitter will receive value from using TweetReports.
Who thought of this?
The original concept (by Michael Kristof) was to create a real-time, search engine keyword research tool to capture how people really “talk”– which is also how they “search”. In doing so, we realized we created the next generation brand monitoring tool. Go figure! (Now we know how Dom Pérignon must have felt like when he accidentally created Champagne.) In addition to large scale brand monitoring, we’ve also found some other really interesting applications for it that give us the opportunity to be better people.
Why didn’t I receive an email to verify my account?
We understand how frustrating it is when you’re excited about trying a new Twitter application, sign up for an account, and then have to wait for an email so you can verify your account — and then not have it show up in your email inbox. Rest assured, verification emails are immediately sent to your provided email address when you register for an account. If you don’t receive it, one of a couple things could have happened;
1. You may have inadvertently entered your email address incorrectly.
2. The email was marked as spam and ended up in your spam filter or spam folder.
To resolve this, we ask you to; A) Check your spam folder to make sure your email application didn’t mark it as spam. And B) Add our email address support@tweetreports.com to your approved contact list/address book. If you still aren’t getting the verification email, please contact us and we’ll get your account verified as soon as possible.
Why am I not receiving email alerts and reports?
If you find that you’ve scheduled email alerts and/or reports but you aren’t receiving them, we ask you to please double check your spam settings. Unlike the verification email which is sent as a text inly email, email alerts and email reports are sent in HTML format which are more susceptible to being flagged as spam.
How do I go about finding what I want to find?
Our tool works primarily on boolean concepts. But don’t worry about knowing what a “boolean” is or how it works because we’ve created some videos to help you get started.
Why am I not getting results?
The really innovative thing about our brand monitoring tool is that it’s not based on the logic and rules of typical searching that humans have to learn in order to find the information they want — it’s truly based on what people are saying. For instance, If you’re looking for information about who’s looking to adopt a new golden retriever puppy, adding a second “G” on “Dog” will get you much different results. If you’re not seeing the results you’re looking for, make sure you’re trying different versions of the words or phrases you’re trying to track. Chances are that the people you want to track and engage with are using different versions and spellings of the word too.
How many Twitter search results can I get?
TweetReports uses a database to store all results from all searches (currently millions of tweets). That means that not only will we retrieve and display new real-time results but we’ll also search through our entire tweet archive and display all messages that contain your search request — conceivably returning hundreds of thousands or results.
Why didn’t I find what I was searching for?
TweetReports provides real-time results using Twitter’s API which are dependent on what is being said on Twitter right now. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, then chances are good that what you’re looking for isn’t being talked about. It’s like when you go fishing, sometimes you don’t catch a fish. That’s why we also offer email brand alerts. When your topic is talked about, we’ll email you the results. It’s like leaving your fishing pole in the water and going back to the lodge to catch the last 20 minutes of American Idol — you win on all accounts.
What if people aren’t talking about what I want them to talk about?
Ah, the $64,000 question. Ultimately, we give you the opportunity to know what’s being said and you have the opportunity to craft a reaction once you know. We don’t tell you how to influence people. Well, we can do that too. In addition to offering some of the coolest and most advanced Twitter search features in the business today, we also offer consulting services to help you influence the audience you’re trying to reach. If you’d like more information please contact our Business Development Guy.
Why do I have to log into Twitter to use certain features?
Above all else, your data needs to remain secure. This is why Twitter requires all third party applications to use OAuth to connect to their accounts — it prevents applications from storing users’ Twitter login information. As such, we don’t store the authorization token returned by Twitter when you login.
Theoretically, we could store the tokens with each account which would allow you to remain logged in but it presents a security risk. If a database were compromised, Twitter login information for ALL users could be accessed. Although it’s highly improbable that this could happen, it’s not impossible. And as many of our users have expressed, they’d prefer to have a slight inconvenience if it means they’re accounts are more secure.
Is it possible to add more features to my account without upgrading to the next level?
If you need one of the additional advanced features, chances are high that you’ll want others too. Talk to us about our Enterprise level account. We can customize enterprise accounts to meet the needs of our clients, so the best idea is to talk to the enterprise department to work together on a solution for you. Contact them here.
I’d really like it if you had this one little tweak or added this one little feature.
We love feedback. We’re big feedback people. By all means, please let us know what you’d like added or changed to help improve our product. Send your feedback.

There are no long-term commitments. For paid accounts, you pay on a monthly basis and you can cancel anytime.
Are there setup or cancellation fees?
There are no hidden setup or “account handing” fees and there’s no charge to cancel your account. But why on Earth you’d even consider taking such drastic measures is beyond me.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards — Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover — via PayPal. Services are automatically billed on a monthly basis via PayPal. We also accept company checks and (non-PayPal) credit card payments for Business and Enterprise level accounts that pay on an annual (yearly) basis.

TweetReports will save all your collected data from searches, reports, etc. for up to two weeks after your subscription period has ended. After two weeks, the data is deleted from the database. If you re-subscribe within the two weeks, you should not lose any data.
